Video and Artists Talk about Everything, everything.

“Everything, everything” is a collaborative installation project that starts by asking questions about what to do with unwanted objects and ends with the creation of a densely populated Antarctic world. After collecting thousands of discarded and unwanted things, they were transformed into works of art using hammers, plaster, pigment and paint. This immense vision was made possible through the prolific creativity provided by young people in this region.
These metamorphic sculptural pieces were created using the stories of antarctic ponies, lost people and epic journeys across the icy continent.
My art practice is story based. I find narratives an accessible way of entering into difficult and complex discussions. In this installation I have created a utopian landscape based on the flaws of the past. This Antartican Arcadia offers solace from this world, where everything is disposable and free to be transformed into something beautiful and sublime.
